A clearance is for a garden that has got out of hand: long grass, brambles, self-seeded saplings, overgrown shrubs and borders lost under weeds. We cut everything back, dig out what should not be there, edge the lawn and beds, and leave the garden clean and tidy so you can see what you have to work with. Gemzas has taken on badly overgrown gardens, including jobs fitted in at short notice.
Clearance or regular care?
Some people need a single tidy after a move, before a property is let or sold, or ahead of a family event. Others use a clearance as the first step before regular garden maintenance, so the visits that follow are about keeping it right rather than catching up. We have also brought gardens back into shape for new owners after a house purchase.
What affects the price
The size of the area, how dense the growth is, how much green waste there will be, and access for tools. A narrow side passage or a long walk from the road takes longer than a garden with a wide gate. The before and after photos of a cleared frontage on this page are from one of our jobs.
