Tree work in the garden
Our tree work is aimed at the trees most gardens have: conifers that have shot up, smaller trees that need reshaping, and branches hanging over lawns, paths, borders or the drive. Gemzas has topped conifers for customers as part of their wider garden care, and we can cut back growth that is blocking light or getting in the way.
Bigger trees
Large trees, trees close to buildings or power lines, and anything that needs climbing or rigging to bring down safely are a job for a qualified tree surgeon. Send us photos first. If a tree is beyond what we do, we will say so, so you are not paying for a visit that leads nowhere.
Permission and timing
Parts of Sevenoaks and the surrounding villages are conservation areas, and some trees are protected by Tree Preservation Orders. In those cases Sevenoaks District Council must be told or give consent before work starts, so check before booking. As with hedges, trees should not be cut while birds are nesting in them, which mostly affects work in spring and early summer.
